Reading the card's own wording carefully
The MCP Card's exact wording is "at least 3 antenatal checkups, after registration." Read together with the registration visit itself, that comes to at least 4 antenatal contacts in total — which is why this schedule is sometimes described elsewhere as "4 ANC visits." This page states only what the MCP Card itself says; a fuller MoHFW antenatal-care operational guideline may set out additional detail, which wasn't independently checked for this page.
